Job Summary:

This job involves DCS engineering for Electrical Control & Monitoring System (ECMS) Projects. You will be involved in collection & review of inputs customer meetings design concept hardware / software engineering / implementation process simulation & testing based upon customer requirements. You will complete Project Life Cycle i.e. starting from inputs analysis Design & Engineering Testing & Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) followed by commissioning as per requirement.

In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Project Engineering
- Collect and review of project inputs from the Front Office or from the customer site through email kick off meeting site survey. Lead and implement DCS and SCADA based ECMS greenfield and retrofit projects
- Mentor the team to implement controls from SAMA functional diagrams or functional descriptions; modifications of DCS/SCADA graphics; creation of faceplate macros control macros and their testing
- Build / modification of DCS internal point database; extraction of HW IO list from customer drawings; preparation of database; querying with HW team and customer for any clarifications needed. Preparation and guiding the team on IO list and DBID
- Complete knowledge of building blocks of DCS system like various logic algorithms and testing. Implementation of analogue and digital simulation logic for firstpass and tieback simulation testing of implemented controls and graphics
- Guide the drafting of HW engineering drawings like system architecture general assembly (GA) and network architecture. Configuration on 3rd party protocols ELC and SLC communication
- Participate in kickoff meetings (KOM) internal and external meetings of project and engaging in customer demos FATs SATs and commissioning activities. Able to do process testing.
- Having experience in different equipment and devices used in the electrical industry including generators motors breakers transformers capacitor banks synchronizers etc. Validated understanding of industrial standards like IEEE IEC NEC and Grid codes
- Maintain and update departments Quality & HSE processes and procedures as per ISO guidelines. Coordinate with manager for tracking of utilization targets and preparing MORs
- Distribute the engineering work to system integrators; making adequate followup for completion of project within budget on/before time and with quality and ensuring 100 alignment of processes in all projects
Field Services
- Prepare site plans with help of project manager and owning the site team for Ovation system power up excess and I/O testing. Maintaining protocols for loop check device check and panel charging
- Lead the team for Analog and Binary Device testing and fault finding. Fault diagnosis of Ovation system network system and various communication interfaces like OPC Modbus DNP3 serial IEC 61850 etc
- Engage with customer and vendors on technical aspects of site commissioning and report the progress and flags the roadblocks and challenges to site manager or project manager
- Check loop and device and vital modifications in the logics graphics and database as per customer /site requirements
- Coordinate closely with engineering team for fixing of HW/SW (e.g. controllers modules link modules etc. and support ECMS commissioning for commercial operation. Customer facing and preparation of site report and coordination with vendors and front offices

For This Role You Will Need:
- Bachelors or masters degree or equivalent experience in control & Instrumentation electrical and power engineering.
- Six 6 to Eight 8 years of experience in electrical industry or DCS vendor company preferably in power plant with knowledge of DCS/PLC programming/Engineering / commissioning.
- Excellent language and communication skills; both verbal and written.
- Ability to write reports & business communication and to efficiently present information and respond to queries from groups of managers clients and customers.
- Ability to collaborate with vendors & subcontractors and willing to travel in India and abroad.
- Should have good understanding of safety tools and gears and safety guidelines of working at site.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Proficient in C programming. Process knowledge of ECMS functions ECMS components and OEMs.
- Good knowledge of electrical equipment like switchboards generators turbines AVRs motors transformers capacitors CTs VTs feeders meters relays.
