What You Will Do
Pratt & Whitney seeks a motivated and detailoriented engineering student to support Engine Design and Systems Integration (EDSI) activities. The EDSI organization is a multifunctional group that provides system level engineering solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Candidates should have successfully demonstrated analytical and mathematical modeling skills to solve problems and the ability to work at an implementation level.
- Support system design integration and requirement management activities.
- Attend and participate in group meetings teleconferences and/or training.
- Responsible for making minor changes or enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve the effectiveness of the work area.
- Based on business needs the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company.
- English (read write speak) is required when communicating with customers coworkers or supervisors who only speak English.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Aerospace or Electrical Engineering
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge in Thermodynamics and Fluids Mechanics.
- Knowledge in C Python MATLAB VBA or any programming language for systems modeling.
- Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledge in Systems Engineering methods
- Understanding of gas turbine jet engines.
- Knowledge in Data Analytics or Machine Learning
