Merlin Law Group is seeking a Paralegal with 8 years litigation experience in our Tampa office!

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Paralegal with 8 years of litigation experience to join our dynamic team! The ideal candidate will be organized detailoriented and capable of managing a diverse workload in a fastpaced environment. The legal assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys maintaining case files and ensuring the smooth flow of operations within our litigation team.

What youll do:

  • Act as liaison among all parties including courts and other neutral parties.

  • Review organize and maintain case materials.

  • Perform caserelated research.

  • Draft pleadings subpoenas discovery requests and responses correspondence interrogatories/answers other legal documents.

  • Coordinate the collection review and production of documents and discovery requests.

  • Assist in deposition preparation pretrial investigations trial preparation including assistance with preparation of witnesses for deposition and/or trial.

  • Assist with trial preparation including preparation of exhibits witness binders and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial and court hearings.

  • Calendaring and scheduling depositions hearings mediations and other meetings as needed.

The ideal candidate:

  • Associates Degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies (preferred)

  • 8 years of relevant experience as a paralegal with a focus on litigation

  • Experience and knowledge of State and Federal court system and filings

  • First Party Property Insurance (a plus)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office document management and client management software systems

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

  • Organized & detailoriented
