Mainframe Network System Programmer

The selected candidate will interact frequently with clients vendors and management to ensure high level of satisfaction. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Acting as a resource and point of escalation for global team members.
• Engaging in identifying analyzing and resolving complex problems on zOS host networks.
• Providing planning and recommendations for changes on hardware and software components for the zOS network.
• Utilizing z/OS Communications Server and other products perform configuration and customization of IBM and ISV mainframe network software.
• Supporting project management with implementation of network software upgrades including testing and implementation with network service provider application teams and internal support teams.
• Disaster Recovery planning and of tests including client access to DR systems during production network service.
• Compliance and Security ensure mainframe network environment complies with security rules agreed by Kyndryl and client.
• Performing level 3 problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Can act in a leadership role for the global team on global projects and participate on teams that impact the host network.

This is a remote position.

• At least 5 years experience performing z/OS system support / programming Host Network experience
• Demonstrable skills in z/OS Network Systems Programming in a multiLPAR Sysplex environment: Communication Server VTAM : SNA APPN Enterprise Extender Subarea routing Logmode tables.
• Communication Server TCP/IP: OSA OSPF ZOSMF DVIPA DDVIPA. Network Security: PAGENT SSL/TLS Configuration Assistant SSH.
• Network Monitoring: (One or more) NetView CANetMaster OMEGAMON for Networks.
• File Transfer (Two or more): Connect:Direct CAXCOM ftp(s) SFTP NetView FTP Co:Z
• Session managers (one or more): CATPX CLSupersession NetView Access Services Teleview VTAM/Switch.
• Printo Products: CASpool IBM INfoprint VPS
• Diagnostic skillsare a must including the ability to interpret job and task logs syslogs and traces
• Ability to train and coach junior team members and build proficient network skills

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:

• Experience with REXXCList or NCL scripting language is plus
• Experience with z/VM RSCS and Vswitch is also a plus
