Fusion Field Technician
Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Fusion Field Technician.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects work for defects dimensions alignment end preparations and seam splits in pipe
- Maintain a clean and safe machine station while conforming to Fergusons standards of quality and performance
- Reports all equipment malfunctions safety issues and required repairs
- Accurately measure record and add random pipe length
- Follow proper procedures for measuring and cutting pipe with various saws
- ability to move loose and /or bundled pipe from various locations within the pipe yard
- Read blueprints.
- Assemble pipe orders whether in single sticks or bundles and maintain work supplies in an organized manner
- Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures
- Preform live watermain taps
- General warehousing when not on fusion or tapping jobs
- Travel for job in state and out of state.
- Work with customer and vendors.
- May be responsible for providing backup driver duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- 3 years mechanical machine experience required
- Must live in Sioux Falls SD Bismarck ND or Fargo ND
- Prior Fabrication experience is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint Teams etc.
- Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.
- Attention to detail demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Desire to learn new things
- The ability to thrive in an inclusive environment
- Prior experience in operating McElroy equipment in fusing HDPE / Fusible PVC pipe and fittings preferred
- Accurate training in the use of machines and fusion of HDPE &FPVC will be provided
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Travel to other states.
- Valid state issued license is .
- Possession of a DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.

Pay Range:
Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidates qualifications and prior experience.
$16.46 $26.00Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
