Job Title Project Manager
Reporting to Operations Director
Depot Podington
THE ROLE
Working as part of the operations team you will have overall responsibility for the management of a number of projects on the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework across the South East and East of England. You will be accountable for the successful end to end delivery process ensuring projects are completed to a high standard of quality delivered safely and within budget.
You will be primarily based in our head office in Northamptonshire but will be to travel across the South East and East regions dependant of the needs of the Framework.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role in highways
Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or IOSH Managing Safely
CSCS Managers Card
Working knowledge of CDM regulations
Ability to develop a programme and sequence of works from a set of drawings
Knowledge of NEC form of contract
Programme and Risk Management and cost control including forecasting actual cost and
value reporting
Competent in the use of Microsoft word and excel
Excellent communication people and team management skills
Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion
Ability to demonstrate the right behaviours to lead and motivate the team to ensure the culture is in line with our Company values ensuring high standards of compliance to company governance
Desirable
Degree/HNC or equivalent
Good knowledge of specifications and testing regime relevant to series& 1400 of the specification for highways works
Experience of working directly for National Highways
Competent in the use of Microsoft Project
