Responsibilities

FacilitiesManagement

  • Continual review of facilities and building systems for equipment capacity and reliability. Lead in the system upgrading and/or improvement projects including validation requirements.
  • Lead the development of preventive maintenance program to maintain and improve all facilities and building systems reliability as well as establish and implement preventive and predictive maintenance.

  • Lead cross functional operation and quality team to resolve facilities system or quality related issues.
  • Lead facilities operations meetings to discuss all projects handling
  • Identify and administrate all site contractors needs for facilities EHS construction equipment security and housekeeping.
  • Review approve and assign day to day tasks to technicians maintaining facilities reliability and support internal customers requests
  • Review approve and assign day to day tasks to cleaning supervisors maintaining facilities cleaning conditions and support internal customers requests
  • Provide training and guidance to facilities technicians to achieve department goals for facilities and building systems reliability
  • Participate in annual budgeting and ensure spending meets objectives
  • Provide site coverage for all aspects of maintenance requirements including partnering with key suppliers and contractors to ensure building maintenance meets budgeted performance.
  • Support the management of the electronic Maintenance System and Building Management System
  • Identify and resolve chronic and major issues that are affecting building environmental conditions or operation especially when resolutions of such issues require technical solutions.
  • Coordinate external resources according to CooperSurgicals SOPs in the most timely cost effective and efficient manner.
  • Investigate building complaints and provide resolution. Facilitate problem solving utilizing a handson approach and effective management of resources.
  • Analyze energy water & HVAC consumptions for efficient utilization.
  • Study design and maintain systems into the facility complete routinary facility inspections to verify that equipment and facility are correctly operating.
  • Develop and/or update maintenance procedures for Facilities equipment and programs such as cleaning pest control safety etc.
  • Develop and/or update schedules for all mechanical operational equipment and process control assets in conjunction with manufacturing and quality engineers. Ensure that processes and procedures comply with corporate and local regulations.
  • Identify equipment failure modes and anticipate to time lost event due to equipment shutdown.
  • Maintain quality documentation for Facilities system and provide support for internal and/or external.
  • Develop key process indicators for facilities systems.
  • Lead all construction needs according to local laws and requirements in addition to quality and EHS regulations
  • Provide support in Project Management through technical support to ensure effective cost controls.
  • Participate in mediumto largesize assigned projects within engineering specialty requiring conventional types of plans investigations and or equipment.
  • Evaluate requests from departments within Cooper Surgical and provide scope and cost estimates to management for evaluation.
  • Create and execute validation required as consequence of the projects implemented and in compliance with the quality management system. This includes IQ/OQ and PQ process.
  • Resolves problems such as production process deviations vendor deviations from specifications urgent outofstock replacements and crisis situations requiring fast astute decisions with rapid implementation by utilizing technical training and experience.
  • Oversee the cleaning supervisors

Safety&EnvironmentalControl

  • Establish an EHS and facilities culture monitor and maintain facilities systems and procedures to comply with regulatory quality and EHS policies. Implement and lead facilities internal audits.
  • Responsible for addressing safety issues and helps maintain local legal compliance in all facilities including procedures & training such as Lockout/Tag out First responder material storage & handling etc. Lead EHS efforts and oversee Occupational Health committee.
  • Responsible to support EHS initiatives and supervise technicians and contractors to make sure all EHS requirements are complying


Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in in Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience 7 years) in facility management engineering or related field with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills including consultative and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to influence change
  • Substantial understanding and knowledge of facilities systems and preventive maintenance programs
  • Substantial knowledge of facilities related government regulations GMP and EHS
  • Strong problemsolving organizational analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Good leadership skills and ability to influence change
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment including interdepartmental teams and key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects
  • Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

Additional Information:

This position may require occasional travel and work outside of regular business hours to oversee facility projects or address emergency situations. The Senior Facilities Engineer will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of facilities and infrastructure
