Job Description
- Lead the development of detailed design concepts and construction documents for EV charging infrastructure projects
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects
- Conduct feasibility studies energy optimization assessments and power system coordination analysis
- Develop and review technical specifications material selections and product research documentation
- Create and maintain project schedules budgets and quality assurance protocols
- Perform power system coordination arc flash hazard analysis and electrical reliability assessments
- Review shop drawings and prepare RFPs change orders and closeout documentation
- Coordinate with construction teams to resolve electrical installation issues
- Ensure compliance with building codes and technical specifications
- Contribute to the firm's QA/QC program by reviewing architectural work
- Develop and maintain production standards and best practices
- Conduct site visits and project measurements as needed
- Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering from an ABETaccredited institution
- Minimum 34 years of experience in electrical design planning and construction services
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NFPA 70 and industry standards
- Experience with electric vehicle (EV) charging systems
- Proficiency in power system analysis software (SKM ETAP or similar)
- Experience designing low and medium voltage power distribution systems
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple complex projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel as needed
