Production Manager (Full Time) St. Hubert QC

We are looking for a highly motivated talented and experienced Production Manager to support the daytoday operations of our StHubert Production plant. In this role you will be responsible for supervising all Production activities and improvement initiatives by directing and assisting in the filling sorting and shipping of cylinders to our branches and local customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the daytoday operations of a production team to meet the demands of external and internal clients; Coordinate production to meet daily distribution requirements including local daily needs as well as long distance shipments across the region; Support daily distribution needs;
  • Lead reliability compliance quality and safety programs (HWP LOTO MOC Contractor Management etc. for the assigned industry; ensure government and/or environmental regulations are met.
  • Ensure the team is fully trained engaged and operating in accordance with all aspects of Lindes safety and quality systems and requirements coordinating quality and safety training and meetings with compliance management.
  • Continuously strive for performance and process improvements and leads efforts and ideas for new projects that drive success and results in initiatives: Overtime reduction backorder reduction production increases etc.
  • Manage and escalate equipment and product quality issues to the appropriate level.
  • Responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of production supplies to prevent any production interruptions.
  • Takes a lead by example approach by training coaching and providing day to day direction of team members to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor and report to senior management on Production and Safety KPIs.
  • Must be bilingual (French/English)

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; university undergraduate degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in an industrial plant environment;
  • 2 years of experience in employee management and development;
  • Work and/or management experience in a union environment is preferred;
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills with a proven ability to multitask.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and team building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail time management and ability to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills including experience with JDE Excel and O365 applications.
  • Experience in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) is an asset.
  • Forklift Operation experience preferred.
