Job Description

Bachelors Degree (received between August 2019 and August 2020 inFinance Accounting Tax Economics or Business Related degree is required or aMasters Degree in Accounting or Tax received between (August 2019 and August 2020. A GPA of 3.0 or better is required. Demonstrated leadership experienceis required. Candidate must successfully pass an assessment that encompassesbusiness reasoning and financial skills. Authorization to work in the US on apermanent full time basis is required. Ability to temporarily relocate to adifferent state within the United States for a rotational assignment isrequired.

The Tax Leadership Development Program (TLDP) is a 30monthprogram designed specifically to develop candidates in the field of Tax and thetax aspects of a large multinational corporation. This program is a part of andreceives the benefits of the Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP).The Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP) is a 30month programdesigned specifically to prepare future generations of business leaders withinthe J & J accounting & finance organization.Participants willdevelop critical leadership & technical skills through rotationalassignments at J&J business units indepth training & ongoingcoaching and feedback. TLDP participants complete 6 months of onboardingfollowed by two 12month rotationswithin the Tax Organization (TaxCompliance COE Tax Reporting COE Tax Planning and/or International/TransferPricing).

These rotational assignments are supplemented by5 weeks ofinperson training & various virtual trainings over the course of the30month program.Training covers all areas critical to success at J&Jand is delivered through a combination of resources including FLDP/TLDP programleadership key Finance leaders J&J Executives & externalconsultants. The initial orientation training introduces the new class toJ&J its leaders the Credo business processes & leadershipcompetencies.

Thetrainingcourses are taught & led by bothinternal & external resources. Inthesesessions the TLDPparticipantswilldevelop competencies related toproblemsolving/analysis technical skills business knowledge teamwork andleadership. These competencies are developed through participation in casestudies simulations presentationstechnical overviews and team buildingexercisessupplemented by tax technical training provided 2 3 timesduring the year.Also the participants will learn about differentfunctions within J&Jlike marketing and sales forexample.Participants evaluate all training sessions so futureclasses may have an improved training agenda. The TLDP & the J&JFinance community encourage participants to pursue certification in managementaccounting (CMA) and /or public accounting (CPA).as well as an MS inTaxation.

TLDP positions are located in eitherNew Brunswick NJ orTitusville NJ.

All rotations are U.S. based. The rotations are designed to exposeparticipants to a combination of different tax functions within J&J as wellas the following J&J Business Segments: Consumer Pharmaceuticals MedicalDevices & Diagnostics and Corporate. Each rotation will provide anexcellent learning experience & an opportunity for TLDP participants toutilize their leadership skills & technical knowledge to drive incrementalvalue & change. Additional underlying benefits from companywide rotationsare an expanded network of contacts a diverse J&J knowledge baseinformation sharing & the skill sets necessary for future J&Jintercompany movement. The key to success in J&J is to understand thebusiness & create valueadded change in teamoriented environments all keydeliverables for TLDP participants.

The training courses are taught & led by both internal &external resources. In these sessions the FLDP participants will developcompetencies related to problemsolving/analysis technical skills businessknowledge teamwork and leadership. These competencies are developed throughparticipation in case studies simulations presentations technical overviewsand team building exercises. Also the participants will learn about differentfunctions within J&J like marketing and sales for example.Participants evaluate all training sessions so future classes may have animproved training agenda. The FLDP & the J&J Finance communityencourage participants to pursue certification in management accounting (CMA)and /or public accounting (CPA).
