Material Handler

Job Title: Material Handler

Reports To: Production Control Supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pull kits for welding personnel based on weldment prints
• Be point of contact and responsible for expediting missing parts
• Ensure assembly kits are complete based on a General Assembly drawing
• Transact in Global Shop appropriately to issue material to jobs
• Track and communicate shortages
• Support Planning by driving stock jobs to completion
• Assists other departments as required and other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills and Ability Requirements:

• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Ability to learn complete working knowledge of PPM Tech products processes and procedures
• Ability to learn to read/interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD blueprints etc.
• Ability to be resourceful in looking for solutions to overcome any issue
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs. comfortably and repeatedly be able to stand bend stoop without restriction for long periods
• Must show good initiative organization and followthrough.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 01 years of general work experience or have demonstrated knowledge skills and abilities to perform the abovementioned tasks.
• Previous production experience in a manufacturing plant preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
