About the job
Its an exciting time to be at SAS: Our cloudnative SAS Viya platform is the most complete in the market and were building on our heritage as we approach IPOreadiness. Our sales team are at the center of it all.
In this role you will be responsible for the of sales strategy across the full SAS portfolio in Law Enforcement & Public Safety territory. This includes software & cloud and domain solutions. As a Senior Account Executive you will:
- Sell SAS. Our solutions are the best of the best and help customers solve their problems you get to translate that story to a sale.
- Stay ahead of the curve. Youll need to know SAS goals and objectives SAS applications supported hardware platforms business trends and industry knowledge
- Understand SAS pricing licensing procedures and approvals matrix.
- Uncover highpotential accounts and follow that lead.Youll be the primary contact for prospective customers.
- Work with other sales professionals customer advisory team and executives to react quickly to highly qualified high revenue potential leads.
- Prepare quotes and proposal information and work crossfunctionally to create and finalize contracts and set delivery schedules.
- Provide a superior customer experience we go the extra mile for our customers and track customer satisfaction.
- Travel up to 40 (mostly interstate) or as business requires sometimes youve got to meet your customers where theyre at literally.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years experience in the sales of computer software solutions or business consulting with a focus on law enforcement/ public safety.
- Ability to initiate and lead sales opportunities and to relate technical and business concepts to SAS applications and user needs.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics and develop a sales plan by relating SAS capabilities to enterprise challenges in Public Sector.
- Growth mindset creativity and a valuebased selling approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel for business.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelors degree preferably in Business or other relevant discipline.
- Equivalent combination of education training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of selling software solutions to enterprise customers with a focus on analytics SaaS AI/ ML and/or Cloud.
- Experience and expertise selling to senior decision makers and ability to align the value proposition of SAS capabilities to meet enterprise needs.
- Solid relationship and network in the law enforcement/ public safety community with a strong reputation of conducting business ethically.
