The City of Timmins and the Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) are recruiting Family Physicians who enjoy a flexible practice with variety.
As a Family Practitioner in Timmins you have the flexibility to work within a FHT or a CHC while having the opportunity to work within multiple hospital and community disciples such as:
- Hospitalist
- Emergency Medicine
- Addictions Medicine
- Obstetrics/Gynecology
- Geriatrics
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health
- Stroke Call
- Surgical Assist
- Teaching/mentoring medical students and residents from the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University
The City of Timmins provides:

Position Requirements
Candidates must:
- Have (or be eligible for) certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada
- Be (or eligible to be) licensed to practice as a Family Physician in the Province of Ontario
- Have (or be eligible to obtain) Canadian Medical Protective Associate (CMPA) coverage
- Have a commitment to working within and optimizing an interdisciplinary team
Remuneration
Lucrative compensation is based on the CHC or FHT models feeforservice billings and HOCC oncall stipends based on inhospital services provided.
Incentives:
- Relocation incentive is provided bythe Timmins and District Hospital.
- Applicants can apply for the Ministry of Health Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative (N3R). The N3R Initiative includes an $83301 incentive over a 4year period for Canadiancitizens and permanent residents who establish a practice in Timmins.

The Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) is a 225bed district hospital serving a local population of 41000 and a catchment area of 110000. The Timmins and District Hospital is a fully accredited referral and teaching hospital and offers a full range of Medical Surgical Critical Care Maternal/Child Long Term Care and Mental Health and Addiction Services. Affiliated with the NOSM University in addition to several colleges and universities in Ontario our hospital actively supports ongoing learning opportunities for medical residents and learners postsecondary and high school students.
