Job Description
Teledyne has a defined strategy to achieve growth both organically and through acquisition. In this environment the role of the group reporting team becomes increasingly critical in ensuring the provision of highquality financial information.
The purpose of this role is to provide a dedicated centralised specialist
resource within the Group Reporting team to manage the accounting for a variety of the Group subsidiaries. Delivering improved financial control and reporting for these entities as well as being responsible for the Group intercompany reconciliation process
Main Accountabilities
Responsibility for monthly accounting of various Teledyne holding companies. This includes monthly processing of journals purchase orders GL reconciliations rolling forecast reporting and annual budget preparation.
Responsibility for Teledyne and local statutory reporting compliance and liaison with internal and external auditors.
Managing the processing of intercompany recharges and the intercompany reconciliation process.
Preparing and supporting the holding companies tax reporting requirements including the preparation of reporting packs and VAT returns. Supporting monthly quarterly and annual reporting processes and supplemental reporting.
DALSA/e2v group lease accounting entries & reporting for US GAAP
Ensuring the business operates within the financial controls and procedures set by the Group (SOX 404
Essential Experience
Previous experience of financial accounting in a medium to large organisation or within practice
ACA ACCA or CIMA qualified.
Strong team player with a flexible and cando approach.
A selfstarter with the desire to get under the skin of existing processes and to suggest and drive improvements.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Minimum Intermediate level Microsoft application skills such as word and excel.
Previous experience of SAP would be beneficial
