1About the position:
Chevron invites applications for the role of IIoT Cloud Engineer within IIoT Platform Product team in India. The IIoT Cloud engineer Executes the designs and roadmaps developed by Cloud/IIoT Architects. Supports Cloud/IIoT Architects in solution definition development build and test of major/minor infrastructure features and functionalities. As an IIoT Cloud Engineer youll have the opportunity to work with cuttingedge technology and engage in a wide range of projects and initiatives. These experiences will allow you to gain valuable expertise in areas such as automation operating systems Azure networking security and resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify the most optimal cloudbased solutions for our digital platforms and maintain cloud infrastructures in accordance with best practices and company security policies
Understand the nuances of different cloud solutions (hybrid public private multicloud onprem) and implications for solution design
Apply excellent troubleshooting skills stay current with industry trends and must be a team player
Maintain and troubleshoot Azure/Onprem environments and services
Design and implement application security for Azure cloud and Onprem native solutions
Collaborate with software engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
Modify and improve existing systems and services
Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives
Design develop and deploy modular cloudbased systems
Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices
Support and troubleshoot field installations of sensors in partnership with BU SMEs and Ops
Understand end to end workflows from sensors to enduser dashboards and support development of complete device lifecycle management
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in at least 2 of the following areas of infrastructure network engineering and security OS administration (Linux) system and network monitoring and troubleshooting
Experience with docker Azure Kubernetes Service and Linux containers
Knowledge of virtualization including deployment and lifecycle management
Experience with IoT Sensors (cellular LoRaWAN BLE WiFi) BU Instrumentation & Electrical roles (BU Operations & Engineering)
Azure IoT Hub LoRaWAN Network Servers MQTT / Sparkplug B Ignition Aveva PI
Demonstrated experience of Azure IaaS related services and connectivity
Knowledge and experience in device Management and connectivity and CMMS (Maximo S4HANA ServiceNow etc)
Understanding of business to edge infrastructure and environments
2 years of IIoT experience in an enterprise or field environment. 5 10 years of experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or related field
Microsoft AZ900 Certification
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
Chevron participates in EVerify in certain locations as required by law.
