Hornsby is one of our Robust sites supporting 8 clients residing in 1 large SIL home that also consists of clients personalised self contained units. We support people with complex mental health psychosocial intellectual and physical disabilities and high physical support needs. This site requires self sufficient proactive and reliable staff who have a love for building relationships person centered care and making a difference!
PLEASE NOTE Applicants must have AM and PM availability Monday Fridayand full working rights!
Your role:
- Promote choice and controland show eagerness to participate in our clients day to day routines goals and interests.
- Follow positive behaviour support and client care support plans as directed by clinical teams and site managers.
- Encourage capacity building to enhance clients current skills such as hygiene safe relationships domestic duties using public transport and accessing the community safely.
- Person centered active support
- Provide personal care and manual handling/ use of hoists with dignity and respect.
- To be competentin your computer/ IT skills and report writing!
Some of our requirements:
We are aware there are quite a few compliance checks (listed below) for this role however whats important to us is that you have regular access to your own car and a P2 NSW Drivers License or higher and flexible availability across a 24/7 roster which may include mornings 6am2pm OR 7am3pm) afternoons 2pm10pm OR 3pm 11pm) and SO shifts.
