ROLE SUMMARY:
Were looking for a thoughtful thorough and engaged Communications Manager who will serve as public relations and communications lead for multiple brands within our awardwinning portfolio. This person will play an active role in brand strategy and campaign planning and provide strategic counsel on marketing campaign development earned media activations proactive and reactive media stories and more.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in popular culture sports innovation social media and trends in consumer behavior and enjoy a role that is a mix of brand communications and corporate communications. This person should understand how to get things done in a large matrixed organization and have experience working with national consumerfacing brands. This individual should balance confidence with humility and seek to be a convener both internally and externally. Our potential is only limited by how big we can dream!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as public relations and communications lead for multiple brands within our awardwinning portfolio
Play an active role in brand strategy and campaign planning meetings
Provide strategic counsel on marketing campaign development earned media activations proactive and reactive media strategies and more
Daytoday lead of PR agencies; collaborate with them as part of planning process and of campaigns
Merchandise and report campaign results; track against KPIs
Manage brand PR budgets and oversee contracts with agency partners
Translate our business into proactive positive storytelling to drive our corporate reputation
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
57 years communications experience inhouse or at a PR agency
Undergraduate degree (communications journalism literature or writing preferred)
Experience developing and executing high profile impactful campaigns and programs for national consumerfacing brands that drove earned media coverage and social conversation
Excellent writing skills
Strong media relations experience with a sophisticated understanding of social media
