The Opportunity:
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for Electrical Assembly. This position is responsible for the assembly of complex fuel control units.
Additionally Electrical Assembly will:
- Fabricate electrical and/or mechanical assemblies
- Follow manufacturing planning for instructions and inspection requirements.
- Perform wire cutting stripping dressing ends and other simple cable operations
- Solder wires and other electronic components
- Perform assembly operations or inspection under microscope or other magnifying device as required
- Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting encapsulating sanding cleaning epoxy bonding curing arbor pressing
- Assemble bearings pistons Orings seals springs etc. into machined housings
- Verify dimensions and or performance using standard measuring instruments
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing planning instructions
- 12 years of experience in electrical soldering and wire crimping
- 35 years of electrical and mechanical assemblies
- 12 years in using precision tools fixture and measuring equipment
- Ability to read and assemble parts from manufacturing planning instructions
- Ability to perform detailed work requiring fine motor skills
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum).
- Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work including as a minimum all elements defined in the Companys Quality Policy
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
