Job Description

The Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Bradely CT is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team. Located one mile from Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks Connecticut; between downtown Hartford CT and Springfield MA the hotel is next to the areas largest corporate and executive parks and some of New Englands most beautiful farmland renowned for its shadegrown tobacco. The hotel has 202 guest rooms in addition to over 4000 square feet of flexible banquet and meeting space

This position will be an exempt position and will report to the General Manager in addition to the Regional Director of Human Resources.

The Double Tree Human Resources Team is focused on employe morale and compliance in addition to recruiting the right talent pool. The overall goal of the Human Resources Team is to become the best employer in the market. The right candidate will be an outgoing individual with exceptional customer service skills in addition to having a background based in fair hiring standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflictfree workplace.
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies.
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and initiating employee engagement activities.
  • Monitor and assign brand standards and corporate hotel related training.
  • Assist in providing backup to onboarding for new employees by providing information packets reviewing company policies and payroll information explaining benefit programs and obtaining document signatures.
  • Prepare payroll by calculating and entering pay into ADP Workforce Now distributing checks and maintaining payroll records.
  • Maintain employee human resources records by recording the hiring transfer termination change in job classifications and merit increase dates as well as tracking vacation sick and personal time.
  • Assist in administering employee benefits programs medical insurance and disability programs by advising employees of eligibility providing application information helping with form completion verifying submission and notifying employees of approvals.
  • Document and track human resources actions by completing forms reports logs and records.
  • Accomplish human resources department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • With HR Director ensures compliance with labor regulations.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 24 years proven experience in HR management Required.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problemsolving
  • Required Experience in ADP Workforce Now
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office in addition to HRIS Systems (Hireology) will be a plus.
  • Desire to work as a team with a resultsdriven approach.
  • Additional HR training (e.g. SHRMCP) will be a plus.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in a related academic field and/or work equivalent is Required.

In accordance with Connecticuts Pay Transparency Law (CT Public Act 2130 which requires private employers with one 1 or more employes to include a range of pay for all advertised jobs promotion or transfer opportunities. This position pays between $58000 and $60000 dependent on experience.
