About the Role:

The Assistant Director of Operations serves as the direct supervisor for all fulltime parttime and oncall residential staff at Artemis House Region III. The Assistant Director of Operations has both direct service and administrative responsibilities. He/She/They will hire train and develop all residential staff to ensure that program policies are followed and services are delivered via a trauma informed care approach. He/She/They will work in collaboration with the Artemis House Director Assistant Director of Programs and Senior Trauma Counselor to support and manage the daily facility operations of the program in accordance with contract requirements and all applicable laws and regulations.



Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the hiring training development scheduling and direct supervision of residential staff
  • Provide guidance and direction to residential staff as needed and during regularly scheduled one on one meetings
  • Review documentation completed by residential staff to ensure it is in accordance with agency best practices
  • Prepare and distribute monthly residential staff schedule; review residential staff timesheets and leave requests
  • Coordinate essential personnel in the event of safety/weather emergencies
  • Serve in an oncall capacity to help residential staff address crisis issues
  • Participate in and facilitate staff meetings and staff trainings as directed by supervisor
  • Serve as the lead on all Region 3 operations
  • Ensure agency vehicles are maintained and meet state license and registration requirements.
  • Coordinate and track unit inspections
  • Serve as point of contact for building maintenance issues; Monitors and tracks all maintenance requests communicates with maintenance staff and ensures repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • During maintenance emergencies coordinate with the Assistant Director of Programs to move the client to a safe room until repairs are made.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Shelter House and Artemis House emergency procedures
  • Ensure the facilitys compliance with all health safety and agency regulations and policies
  • Ensure the facility is routinely cleaned and equipment functions properly for necessary operations
  • Schedules monitors and tracks cleaning of all sites including common areas office space and client spaces.
  • Schedules cleaning upon client move outs and ensures proper turn over.
  • Track all inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Oversee Operations Budget complete all operations check requests and maintain financial tracking
  • Provide direct services to program participants during regularly scheduled shift
  • Complete documentation in accordance with agency best practices
  • Assist clients and direct service staff with calls and completing safety plans / needs assessments
  • Act as advocate on behalf of population served and / or individual clients when necessary
  • Collaborate with the management and case management team to ensure services are consistent across shifts
  • Work closely with Assistant Director of Programs to support direct service staff and maintain ongoing communication
  • Collaborate with Assistant Director of Programs Senior Trauma Counselor and Artemis House Director to address client disputes and complaints related to residential living
  • Assist the Director Assistant Director of Programs and Senior Trauma Counselor in managing the daily operations and overall safety of the program
  • Collaborate with Community Coordinator to obtain donations and volunteer support for the shelter
  • Proficiently utilize Google Suite applications (email calendar drive docs etc. as a part of daytoday work requirements

  • Perform other duties deemed necessary to support the program and agency

About You:

Required:

  • A bachelors degree in human services / related field or commensurate experience
  • 3 years of human services or direct services experience
  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities and make sound judgements
  • Willingness to work evenings and make sound judgments
  • Strong public speaking and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Valid Drivers License

Preferred:

  • Experience leading/supporting programs serving homeless families and victims of domestic violence/sexual violence
  • Experience leading/managing in a residential environment
  • Ability to speak a second language at a proficient level

Physical Requirements:

  • Annual TB Test is required
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift items weighing 1020 pounds
