Senior Consultant - Strategy Management

As a Strategy consultant your interpersonal creative thinking analytical business management and leadership skills will be called upon from day one. By facilitating conversations that inspire innovation and yield valuable business insights you will support our leaders and their teams in identifying fostering and promoting strategic and improvement initiatives at all levels of the organization. You will also play a major leadership and project management role in planning designing implementing and coordinating initiatives and projects to achieve and sustain improved performance.

Contribute to safe quality care by:

• Develops recommendations and builds strategic frameworks using a variety of planning analysis and engagement tools including: SWOT analysis environmental scans literature reviews focus groups and data analysis.
• Communicates key insights and relevant facts effectively to different audiences including crafting compelling narratives and proposals with a keen eye for strategic positioning.
• Plans and leads group facilitation and workshops to build on ideas and achieve desired goals with a high level of situational awareness and emotional intelligence.
• Provides strategic project management and change management expertise and support to program and senior leaders in the planning development coordination and implementation of projects to support achievement of the organizations Strategic Plan and Wildly Important Goals.
• Manages complex organizationwide strategic projects and effectively deploys project change and risk management tools and methodologies from project initiation to closeout.
• Works with leadership and frontline staff to facilitate the identification development implementation and monitoring of process improvement initiatives both within and across hospital departments and services in alignment with the overall organizational strategy.
• Facilitates Lean Kaizen events and manages the preparation data analysis and followup to ensure activities are completed and improvements are realized and sustained.

What must you have

• Bachelors Degree.
• 23 years experience with a healthcare provider or consulting firm.

• Demonstrates ability to balance working very well independently as well as functioning as a highly adaptive and collaborative team member.
• Strong understanding of strategy strategic frameworks and strategic thinking.
• Strong ability to turn large amounts of information into powerful insights and succinct summaries.
• Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and externals stakeholders.
• Excellent group facilitation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent problemsolving data analysis and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent project management change management and conflict resolution skills.
• Working knowledge of and experience with Lean principles and tools.
• Working knowledge of the Ontario health system and the forces impacting change.
• Working knowledge of the patient care processes and hospital operations.

• Proven attendance record.
• Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.

Preferably your profile also includes:

• Masters degree in Business Administration or Health Administration.
• Lean Certification.
• PMP Certification.
