Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Biostatistician to join the joint initiative between Griffith University and Wesley Research Institute. Working with the Director of Clinical and Academic Research Collaborative this role offers the chance to work on impactful research addressing complex health challenges manage and analyse large datasets and engage with an extensive network of collaborators. Youll also have opportunities to establish an independent research direction while enhancing the outcomes of our cuttingedge programs.

This is a fixed term 5 years) part time 0.4FTE/40 position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan).

As Griffith is a multicampus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith Universitys campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples

Salary Range
The fulltime equivalent base salary will be Senior Research Fellow range $138702 $159936 per annum 17 superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $162281 $187125 per annum.

 


Qualifications :

The occupant of this position will hold a PhD or equivalent qualifications/work experience in (Bio)statistics or epidemiology with a record of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of tertiary qualification and relevant research.

  • Demonstrated experience in using a wide range of statistical methods used in health research.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with statistical software such as R or Stata as well as Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to provide sound statistical advice in study design analysis and reporting of research.
