We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our clients dynamic IT infrastructure team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and implement innovative network solutions that ensure optimal performance reliability and security. The successful candidate will lead critical projects mentor junior team members and collaborate with various stakeholders to support the organizations mission of delivering competitive and reliable services to its clients.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and deployment of functional networks (LAN WLAN WAN) ensuring they meet current and future business requirements.
- Configure and install network hardware and software including servers routers and other devices.
- Monitor network performance and integrity proactively addressing potential issues to maintain high availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues escalated from support teams ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Implement and oversee security measures such as access authentication and disaster recovery planning to safeguard data and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including service providers and clients to ensure seamless network connectivity and performance.
- Mentor and coach junior network engineers fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies integrating relevant advancements into network strategies.
Requirements:
MustHaves:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA CCNP or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in network administration with at least 5 years specializing in Cisco technologies.
- Proficiency in networking protocols (e.g. OSPF BGP) and a deep understanding of firewall configurations routing and switching.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Linux and opensource operating systems network technology stacks.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement network solutions in a complex multidisciplinary environment.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
NicetoHaves:
- Experience in the financial services industry particularly with market connectivity requirements.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Knowledge of shared infrastructure service methodologies (IaaS PaaS).
- Previous experience in mentoring and leading technical teams.
