Were currently searching for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Schiffert Health Center team in Blacksburg VA to help us in our mission. So if youre looking for a healthcare position in a higher education setting please keep reading.
HERES WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS ROLE:
1 Youll be joining the Schiffert Health Center team; a department centered on the health and wellbeing of our student population by caring for them in their times of illness or injuries.
2 Youll be reporting to the Nurse Supervisor in a regular twelvemonth 100 university staff appointment.
3 Youll be responsible for triage assisting providers and patient education. You will cross train and work in the following areas: Gynecology Allergy/Immunization Clinic and Medical Clinic.
4 Youll typically work Monday Friday 8am5pm and rotating Saturdays 9am12pm.
5 Youll be offered a base compensation package between $50000 $56000 along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance paid leave retirement tuition assistance VT discounts and so much more!

Required Qualifications
Licensed to practice nursing as an LPN in the State of Virginia
Previous experience practicing as a LPN in a medical setting.
Demonstrated experience with patient assessment/triage
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful and effective relationships with diverse multicultural student and staff population while demonstrating empathy to patients.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an outpatient clinical setting
Previous experience working in a higher education medical/clinical environment
Computer experience including electronic medical records.
Previous experience working in a womens clinic allergy/immunization clinic and/or medical clinic.
