Purpose:

As the Scheduler you will oversee the production schedule for our manufacturing site in Somerset. You will utilise sale orders forecasting and capacity data to ensure the efficient scheduling of our production runs of ambient chilled and frozen products.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with your colleagues across production and operations to maintain the schedule
  • Monitor available production and asset capacity and raise concerns in a timely manner in support of our OTIF targets
  • Take an active role in the solution design and implementation on scheduling capacity and availability issues
  • Initiate corrective actions following problem identification nonconformance rejection and nearmisses
  • Maintain communication with stakeholders across the supply chain to provide updates proactively and on request

Skills and experience:

  • Experienced in solution design with an ability to take an openminded approach with input from multiple sources
  • Able to work independently and within teams
  • An analytical eye for situations of varying complexity and structure
  • Able to review data sets and situational information to make informed decisions
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of managing stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Strong IT literacy skills are essential
  • Desirable to have actively used D365/Microsoft Dynamics previously
  • Holding 35 years experience in a scheduling or similar role is desirable
