Sr IT Network Engineer

Reusable launch systems are the key to seamlessly connecting Earth and space. Asthe Sr. IT Network Engineerin Stoke Spaces Information Technology department youll be the person responsible for designing deploying documenting and maintaining robust network architectures that meet our rapidly growing needs while facilitating a successful startup culture as we race towards our first launch of Nova. We are a small and motivated team and you will work across the entireStoke organization and bring expertise in networking technologies securitybest practices and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will haveexperience working within NIST frameworks and ensuring network securitycompliance. You must be ready to stay focused move fast selfdirect and learn on thefly.

Responsibilities

• Design implement and manage enterprise network infrastructure including LAN WAN WiFi VPN firewalls and cloudbased networking solutions
• Ensure network security through proper configuration monitoring and adherence to security policies and NIST frameworks
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop and maintainsecure network access policies
• Lead network upgrades migrations and system integrations tosupport business growth and technology advancements
• Implement automation and monitoring tools to proactively detect andresolve network issues
• Document network configurations processes and standard operatingprocedures
• Assist remote teams including IT software and avionics with onsitesupport of various range of equipment and software tools as we buildand begin to operate our launch complex at Cape Canaveral
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goalsand objectives
• Occasional travel to other Stoke facilities

Qualifications

• Exceptional understanding of the OSI model and IP network standards
• 5 years of experience in network engineering including designing monitoring and troubleshooting LAN/WAN networks in enterprise/campus environments
• Expert knowledge of switching and routing protocols (vLAN STP ARPBGP OSPF etc.
• Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills with the ability toanalyze and resolve complex network issues
• Handson experience with firewalls (Fortinet Cisco ASA Palo Altoetc. VPNs and network security solutions
• Ability to work agnostically with hardware from multiple vendors examples: Fortinet MikroTik CiscoUbiquiti etc.
• Experience with enterprise WiFi technologies including designimplementation troubleshooting and optimization of wirelessnetworks for highdensity environments
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to perform handson supportand troubleshooting across a broad range of IT systems includingnetworking hardware software and enduser support
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology arelated STEM field or equivalent experience
• Willing to relocate to Cape Canaveral FL

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications (ex. CCNP CCIE or equivalent)
• Experience with AWS network infrastructure
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux
• Experience working in regulated industries with compliance standards (NIST ISO 27001 HIPAA etc.

Compensation

Target Levels:

• Level 3 range: $127200 $190800
