Job Description
Creates detailed 3D printed designs using computeraided design (CAD) software. Works closely with laboratory directors and other team members to produce accurate and highquality 3D models for various neuroimaging projects.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Designs creates and develops 3D models using CAD software based on project requirements and specifications in a cuttingedge biomedical research environment using inhouse 3D printers.
Collaborates with neuroimaging research faculty and engineers to understand project goals and provide unique design solutions.
Performs accurate estimations of project costs and timelines.
Performs testing and make necessary revisions and modifications to 3D models as per client feedback.
Communicates with team members to ensure project progress and deadlines are met.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong design skills and extensive knowledge of 3D printed design principles and techniques
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD SolidWorks Blender or similar.
Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Attention to detail and ability to produce highquality designs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma required.
Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative(CITI) certification within 30 days of transfer or hire required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Some college coursespreferred.
