Commercial Financial Collection Specialist (A/R)

What does an Outstanding Senior Commercial Financial Collection Specialist (A/R) do at Fiserv

As a Senior Commercial Financial Collection Specialist you will be responsible for recovering highbalance merchant accounts receivables first party collection accounts on behalf of top financial institutions. This role involves managing a dedicated queue of 100200 accounts typically with balances ranging from $10000 to $days delinquency.

What you will do:

  • Recover overdue payments on accounts through manual calls rather than dialing systems specifically calling on behalf of banks.
  • Conduct skip tracing to locate customers and gather necessary information for followup.
  • Collaborate with attorneys thirdparty vendors and major banks (e.g. Bank of America PNC Wells Fargo) to resolve account issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and organization of account activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service while effectively addressing client inquiries and concerns.
  • Establish rapport with merchants to overcome objections and secure payment of the debt.
  • Document all discussions and actions in a tracking system or database.

What You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years experience in a collection environment.
  • Experience in collecting high balance B2B accounts.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws related to the debt collection industry.
  • Experience with computer systems and database management.
  • Strong work history with a proven record of job stability

What Would Be Great to Have:

  • Previous experience in bank collections credit card collections mortgage collections medical collections or commercial collections.
  • Ability to negotiate repayment plans effectively.
  • Strong problemsolving skills to resolve billing issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
