We have a nationwide workforce with more than 1/4 of our team being fully remote from outside the Portland and Vancouver Metro area. However given the nature of responsibilities in this role preference will be given to local candidates who are located in the Pacific timezone and able to be onsite at clients periodically. Interviews will be held virtually in most cases.

Responsibilities.

This role will be varied and have a broad scope of responsibility but if we were to narrow it down to four major categories they would be:

  • Handling bookkeeping responsibilities for clients on a weekly monthly and quarterly basis. This includes completing tasks such as bank and credit card reconciliations coding transactions analyzing client accounts and making journal entries
  • Heavy Accounts Payable processing using BILL
  • Cleanup improperly maintained bookkeeping and propose to supervisor ways to improve financial accounting
  • Assist with preparing monthly management reports and other financial reports/schedules. Entry level understanding of financial analysis

What makes you a fit for this role

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Four years of fullcharge bookkeeping experience
  • Wine industry experience preferred
  • Experience with maintaining client relationships in a professional services environment is preferred.
  • QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification is required (or commitment to obtain within two months of employment); experience with QuickBooks desktop version also required
  • Proactive effective English verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Must travel to client sites as needed (travel will be local and not frequent)
  • Experience in a large local/regional or national CPA firm is strongly preferred

Compensation and benefits:

  • Compensation range is $27.90 $30.25 hourly varying DOE. Compensation may be adjusted for those who live in areas with a higher cost of labor than Portland OR
  • 401(k) profit sharing plan; immediate vesting of employer contributions
