Minimum Qualifications:
Required: High School or GED required. Medical background with medical terminology. Will train newly graduated individuals. Working experience in the healthcare setting (hospital outpatient clinic nursing homes) Certified Nurse Assistant EMT or similar experience may be considered with onthejob training in the opposite of MOA certification/education.
Preferred: Graduate of Medical Office Assistant Program. At least one year of healthcare setting work experience. Certification received from Medical Office Assistant Program Certified Nurse Aide Program or Medical Secretary Program. Certification of approved medical program. CPR certification may be required.

Position Summary:
Perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the office running smoothly. The administrative duties include greeting patients as they arrive in a professional manner computerized patient registration with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system; scanning current patient information and updating demographic information scheduling appointments assist patients by answering the phones tasking phone message/requests to the appropriate staff filing and cross train to cover other staff positions. The clinical tasks include patient intakes discharge instructions nurse line assist physicians as needed and work the clinical task list and return patient calls. Must be able to multitask in a fastpaced office while adapting to the everchanging needs of the work environment
