Position Overview:
Interested in creating great products that impact millions of people Interested in building high performance systems that rely on big data and machine learning Want to solve complex large scale technical problems using the latest technologies Zynga is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join the Platform Machine Learning team in our Analytics organization!
Zynga is one of the worlds largest mobile video game developers with over millions of monthly active users. The Platform Machine Learning team continues Zyngas tradition of using analytics technologies to enhance our games. ML Engineers are responsible for creating and supporting a robust ML infrastructure that enables our Data Scientists to develop deploy and manage ML workflows at scale.. ML Engineers also develop ML applications that are integrated into Zyngas product ecosystem. While ML Engineers apply their work to ML specific applications we use standard techniques and technologies for big data infrastructure and large scale production services.
What Youll Do:
As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer you will be responsible for
- Demonstrate strong technical leadership and lead initiatives that push the boundaries of our ML capabilities.
- Provide guidance and coaching to the machine learning engineering team fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Work closely with our data science and data analytics teams to develop models that drive insights and inform business decisions.
- Developing deploying and maintaining machine learning models and infrastructure that powers our games.
- Design and implement tools and processes that streamline our machine learning model development and deployment pipelines.
What Youll Bring:
- Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7 years of production experience in software development with 5 years in building ML applications and/or MLOps products.
- Experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production.
- Experience in Big Data Technologies: SQL Spark Airflow NoSQL Databases Data warehouse and Datalake systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python Golang and/or Java.
- Experience with ML development platform and cloud environments such as using DataBricks AWS SageMaker Google Vertex AI.
- Experience with distributed systems containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and workflow orchestration (Airflow Kuberflow).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and working with Git.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others in a team environment and the ability to translate technical concepts for nontechnical stakeholders.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $123500 and $182780 per year.
However base pay offered is based on market location and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates such as jobrelated knowledge skills experience and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a bonus and/or equity awards in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired employee will be in an atwill position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
