AWS established a specialized group of service teams responsible for the work we are doing with the U.S. Intelligence Community. We are building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world and we need adaptable people to help us implement and operate them.
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3 and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2 to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (IoT) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

A day in the life
Every day is Day 1 at Amazon. On a typical day our Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineers (ADCE) will support AWS Config engineering and operations by completing activities including but not limited to:
Manage and monitoring systems health and status
Provisioning devices assisting with data ingestion and device cleaning
Troubleshooting device network and/or configuration related issues
Identifying documenting and communicating engineering and operations recommendations to team members
Writing and disseminating after action reports capturing key events actions taken and future mitigation plans
Providing oncall support when necessary

Associates degree or Cloud or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
3 years of experience operating in a Unix Linux or Red Hat environment.
3 years of experience implementing automated software testing scripting deployment and performance analysis systems.
3 years of experience of proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues.
Current active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
5 years experience with cloud computing technologies.
5 years of experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments.
5 years experience troubleshooting.
3 years of networking experience.
3 years of experience with performance and log analysis.
