POSITION Union:Utility Worker II Transitional TEMP 2 openings available)
NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 2
LOCATION:NY Rochester Mushroom Blvd
HOURLY RATE: $22.24
Responsibilities
- Safely and effectively perform gas and electric tasks including but not limited to turnon turnoff obtaining meter reads and meter exchanges.
- Safely and effectively work field collections including inperson customer collections notice delivery disconnect for nonpayment and reconnect after disconnection.
- Report hazardous conditions meter tampering and meter conditions.
- Timely completion of assignments.
- Assist in ensuring data integrity and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to safety policies and practices.
- Maintain current meter location records and maps.
- Proper care and maintenance of all assigned company equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have high school diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must be willing to work in various weather conditions including heat/cold rain and snow.
- Must be willing to work extra hours as required including storm work.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must successfully complete background check drug screen and audiogram.
- Must be particularly alert in observing hazards and avoiding accidents.
- Must be selfmotivated.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to complete physically demanding tasks on a regular basis
