Job Description

A leading client in the automotive manufacturing sector is seeking a highly experienced Production Manager to oversee operations in the Press Department. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in automotive stamping press operations and the ability to manage a team of over 100 employees. The role requires strong leadership skills deep technical knowledge of press operations and a commitment to optimizing production efficiency while maintaining highquality standards. Note experience in press production is nonnegotiable.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering Manufacturing Operations or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a stamping press production environment within the automotive industry. (Note this experience in nonnegotiable)
  • Proven experience managing large teams of 100 employees in a highvolume manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic presses metal stamping and forming processes.
  • Handson experience with LEAN manufacturing Six Sigma and process optimization.
  • Excellent leadership problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in production management software and data analysis tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Press Department ensuring production targets are met.
  • Manage and lead a team of over 100 production personnel including supervisors and operators.
  • Develop and implement efficient stamping press processes to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs to drive continuous improvement in production output and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical and hydraulic stamping presses.
  • Collaborate with engineering maintenance and quality teams to enhance operational performance.
  • Train and develop staff ensuring proper skills enhancement and adherence to production protocols.
  • Implement and oversee LEAN manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain strong communication with senior management regarding production updates challenges and recommendations.
