The Naval Shipboard Portfolio has an immediate opening for a Financial Program Controls Analyst on the Naval Standard Missile Systems (NSMS) Development directorate. This position provides a tremendous growth opportunity for an ambitious individual to partner with the program leadership team which includes Program Managers technical leads and functional support. In addition you will provide the opportunity to increase exposure to multiple facets of finance and the overall organization. The NSMS Development program generates approximately $300M in revenue per year. The Financial Analyst will have a key role in the setup and of multiple contracts while providing critical financial oversight and guidance. You will be interacting/collaborating with a variety of different internal and external customers.
What You Will Do
- Support of development costplus contractual Earned Value Management (EVM) contracts.
- Providing critical financial oversight and guidance for the contracts they maintain.
- Partnership with Program Management and cross functional leads to support program .
- Support of all program financial aspects including financial planning (LRP AOP working capital monthly financial performance reporting and NBI).
- Program controls such as developing estimates at complete (EACs) and of EVM.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires A Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting Economics Mathematics or related or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Experience and understanding of the program business role APEX Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and/or experience with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) concepts.
- Experience with computer/Microsoft Office skills (Excel Word PowerPoint etc..
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. .
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in a matrix environment.
- Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines.
- Ability to drive change and influence beyond authority level.
- Experience in organizing preparing and presenting briefings to management and peers.
- Experience interpreting and analyzing financial data.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) when interfacing with all levels of the company.
- Experience managing multiple DoD contracts.
Additional Information
- This position is grade P3 Principal Program Cost Controls.
- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.
