Job Description

The Local Shops team in India is looking for a Senior Category Manager to own and drive scaleup of categories and critical customerfocused initiatives. The person who joins this team must share our passion and commitment for serving customers while also making Local Shops a preferred fulfilment channel for Heavy & Bulky and Emerging whitespaces categories. She/he must be able to balance thinking big working with ambiguity while driving speed of experimentation. We are looking for selfstarters with strong analytical skills and resultorientation who can make and execute independent datadriven decisions and work with senior stakeholders across borders both internally and externally.
Working in a dynamic environment you will be responsible for formulating a strategy for your set of businesses identifying and driving key flywheel inputs for the business and working with key stakeholders to influence product roadmap. You will be responsible for the topline and input delivery for your set of business. The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business product and ecommerce challenges
To be successful in this role you will have superior communication presentation and organizational skills. Operating in a fastmoving and sometimes ambiguous environment you will work autonomously taking full control and responsibility for hitting business objectives. This role provides opportunities to develop original ideas approaches and solutions in a competitive and ever changing business climate.

Key job responsibilities
Formulating long term road map for the categories the person is responsible for.
Engage with internal and external customers/teams to improve products and business processes.
Identify specific prospects/partners to approach communicate the specific value proposition for their business and use case and establish longterm successful partnerships.
Develop strategy to acquire sellers across focus categories


5 years of with Excel experience
5 years of account management project or program management or buying experience
Bachelors degree or 5 years of professional or military experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
Experience using data to influence business decisions
Experience driving internal crossteam collaboration
Experience with business analysis and P&L management

Experience driving direction and alignment with crossfunctional teams
