Job Description

Business Systems Analyst
Macdill Air Force Base Tampa FL

The Business Systems Analyst assists the United States Marine Corps Forces Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands by serving within the intelligence directorate task area. The positions primary mission involves providing timely accurate and relevant multidiscipline multifunction intelligence support tailored to the USCENTCOM AOR for the COMUSMARCENT staff and subordinate units to assist in the Commands decision making and staff actions for MARCENTs component responsibilities and Title 10 service obligations. The Business Systems Analyst directly supports services for the MARCENT G2 including analysis and input on the application of Intelligence Planning Technical Knowledge and Training requirements to ensure the efficient of MARCENT OAMS tasks both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). The Business Systems Analyst will perform the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the Business Systems Analyst Senior with responsibility for assisting in the planning development coordination of Intelligence Planning Technical Knowledge and Training requirements within the MARCENT.
  • Provide analysis and input on the application of intelligence and plans related IT applications within the operational environments highlevel functional systems analysis design integration documentation and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
  • Participate as needed in all phases of requirement development with emphasis on the planning analysis testing integration documentation and presentation phases.
  • Support Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms and AllSource Analysis.
  • Plan and coordinate intelligence IT support to MARCENT planning efforts within the CENTCOM AOR.
  • Coordinate with CENTCOM component commands and Joint Staff intelligence planners.
  • Advocate for Marine Intelligence interests to CENTCOM and the intelligence community at planning meetings and conferences.
  • Draft and / or review MARCENT intelligence related annexes and appendices for publication.
  • Provide oversight and coordination for Joint Staff CENTCOM and MARCENT taskers.
  • Work closely with MARCENT and service planners Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA) and Headquarters Marine Corps Intelligence Department (HQMC IDepartment).
  • Perform duties as G2 liaison to the USCENTCOM Intelligence Directorate (CCJ2 plans and International Programs.
  • Support the G2 in the production analysis and dissemination of specialized intelligence products in support of all plans and related activities.
  • Conduct analysis of allsource intelligence develop intelligence methods and use various data collection platforms to improve processes.
  • Provide support to the development of plan specific intelligence briefings emerging threat briefings special Threat Vulnerability Assessments (TVA) and intelligence information papers for the Commanding General and the primary Staff.
  • Assist in the of plans in the context of combatant commands priority intelligence planning efforts.
  • Prepare and coordinate plans schedules directives and reports.
  • Develop prepare explain brief and coordinate plans schedules directives and reports.
  • Provide intelligence discussions and Joint Professional Military Education (PME) at conferences and working groups.
  • Support Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (JIPOE) / Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB) production covering the full range of military operations military planning and joint operations with major Command staff activities.
  • Support development of command priority intelligence requirements.
  • Provide intelligence support to MARCENT Training Support Center and exercises.

EDUCATION

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum ten years of military experience.
  • Experience in business systems analysis particularly within military or defense environments.
  • Experience with intelligence planning technical knowledge and IT applications related to intelligence and ISR platforms.
  • Experience in requirement development including planning analysis testing integration documentation and presentation phases.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing intelligencerelated annexes appendices and preparing intelligence briefings and reports.

CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Expertise in analyzing and providing input on the application of intelligence and IT systems within operational environments.
  • Ability to support ISR platforms and AllSource Analysis including planning and coordinating intelligence IT support.
  • Ability to draft review and publish intelligencerelated documents and reports. Capability to develop prepare explain and present intelligence briefings threat assessments and information papers.
  • Ability to support the development of intelligence training materials and exercises. Experience in Joint Professional Military Education (PME) and JIPOE/IPB production.
  • Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (SharePoint MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word Power Point Excel etc. desired.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills desired.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.

SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS

  • Travel is required.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid drivers license current automobile insurance and a driving record that is acceptable to the companys auto insurance provider.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

  • A TS/SCI clearance is required for this position.
