Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Instrument/Electrical Designer to join our team.

About the Position
- Design and develop electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and develop design concepts.
- Prepare detailed electrical and instrumentation drawings specifications and other technical documents.
- Utilize computeraided design (CAD) software to create accurate and precise drawings.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes standards and project specifications.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including engineers and project managers to ensure successful project .
- Ensure that all designs and documentation comply with relevant codes regulations and safety standards
Required Skills/ Abilities
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrument/electrical design
- Previous experience working in refinery or chemical plant environment required
- Strong working knowledge of P&IDs instrumentation design details control loop preparation location plans control panel layout.
- Ability to communicate and understand work issued by various disciplines and others involved in a project design
- Eligible to work for any U.S. employer
- Be in good standing with DISA and valid TWIC are required.
Education and Experience
- 35 years of experience required
- SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) INtools experience required
- Well versed in AutoCAD
- Strong working knowledge of electrical design strong working knowledge of P&IDs instrumentation design details control loop preparation location plans control panel layout.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Climbing (stairs/ladders) and field visits are required.
- Exposure to outdoors
- Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes hardhat safety glasses respirators ear plugs steel toed shoes or other equipment as required.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
