Job Description
The Director of Behavioral Health is responsible for successful operation of the Inpatient behavioral health units (adult and geriatrics) and resource/liaison for all psychiatric care within Augusta Health. The Director of Behavioral Health is responsible for providing a Vision and Strategic Direction for the psychiatric care that aligns with the Augusta Health Vision and Strategic Plan.
The scope of responsibility for the Director of Behavioral Health includes the following general areas:
- Quality of patient care
- Financial performance
- Patient experience
- Staff satisfaction
- Compliance DNV Licensure Medicare COPs Other Regulatory
- Operations processes organizational design
- Support of the Augusta Health Mission
*This position follows the guidelines under the Virginia Department of Health and will require fingerprinting and a CPS check
Education Requirements
- MSN required
Experience Requirements
- 3 years of nurse management
License
- Valid RN license to practice in the State of VA
