Two Dot Consulting 2DOT) an affiliate of Montrose Environmental Group is an interdisciplinary Environmental and Engineering firm based in downtown Arvada Colorado. We have offices throughout CO and WY with over 30 scientists biologists and engineers with a combined 230 years of experience. We focus on equal pay company culture environmental engineering natural resource management environmental permitting and compliance remediation reclamation soil water and technology to serve our clients.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Our Arvada CO office is currently seeking an Environmental Specialist for stormwater inspections to support oil and gas projects in the northeastern front range of Colorado and potentially other areas (UT WY NM & TX).
Compensation hourly pay signing bonus) plus eligible for overtime!
Hourly pay: $21$23 based on relevant experience.
Signing Bonus: $1500 based on start date (to be discussed in interview)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform site inspections for stormwater (SW) compliance including evaluating control measures and stabilization.
Perform site inspections for SPCC compliance including equipment or berm measurements.
Conduct SW control measure repairs.
Compile SW and SPCC reports and Visio drawings.
Provide daily reports that include field notes and photographs of sampling locations.
Care for and maintenance of field equipment.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as .
Travel in a company vehicle to oil and gas locations in northeastern CO.
Perform other duties as requested.
REQUIREMENTS
Safety conscious and continually assess ways to mitigate hazards.
Ability to carry 40 pounds.
Ability to walk up to three miles per day (typical days require less than one mile of walking).
Physical ability to perform outdoor field work in remote settings yearround.
Ability to safely drive in adverse conditions (e.g. 4x4 roads snow mud dirt roads).
Effective communication skills with teams and managers.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to stay positive and effective during long and physically challenging days in the field.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (NOT REQUIRED)
Experience with stormwater inspections.
Experience working in field conditions.
Experience collecting field notes on digital survey platforms (Survey123 Field Maps).
Experience driving in remote locations using 4x4 vehicles.
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in environmental science or another related field (desired but not .
