Job Description
Primoris Heavy Civil is currently searching for a Bridge Superintendent for our Laredo TX project. The Bridge Superintendent will oversee the construction repair and maintenance of bridge projects ensuring that work is completed on time within budget and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The position requires strong leadership technical expertise and project management skills to direct field personnel coordinate with subcontractors and ensure project milestones are met efficiently and safely. The position does require the candidate to permanently relocate to the Laredo TX area.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Supervise the daily operations of bridge construction projects including roads bridges and highway construction activities.
Coordinate and manage onsite labor subcontractors and vendors.
Ensure projects are completed according to project specifications safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Lead and monitor the quality control of all work addressing issues as they arise and making adjustments to ensure work meets the highest standards.
- Experience with bridge structures composed of a plate girder concrete girder and/or steel truss; founded on driven piling drilled shafts or spread footings is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of commercially available and wooden stickbuilt concrete forming systems.
- Responsible for managing the entire construction operation of a project often at multiple job site locations.
- Tracking job site production on a daily/weekly basis.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on bridge projects
- Proficient in the civil construction process
- Strong leadership communication and problemsolving skills.
- Postoffer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.

- Job site safety requirements as required by the client (long sleeves steel toe boots etc..
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat safety glasses gloves respirator hearing protection safety harness with lanyard etc..
Physical Requirements
- Must comply with companys drug and alcohol abuse policy.
- Must be able to pass physical examination preemployment if necessary and as required by the company.
- Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders scaffolding stairways etc.
- Stoop kneel crouch crawl or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces.
- Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt concrete asphalt mud gravel etc.
- Must be able to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment when required.
