About Lumafield:
Lumafield was founded in 2019 to upgrade manufacturing.
We are engineers with deep experience across the product development cycle from initial ideas to shipping hardware across industries and specializations who became frustrated by the cost and complexity of modern manufacturing. So we decided to upgrade it.

We started with industrial CT scanning which for us was the most valuable but underutilized tool in the manufacturing toolbox enabling us to rapidly inspect essential components nondestructively.
We rebuilt the whole system from Xray capture to computer vision analysis to webbased collaboration to the entire business model making the most advanced manufacturing tech more accessible to every industry. Our company like our platform is designed for upgrades. Were building for greater intelligence autonomy and speed. For deeper vision operational excellence and powerful insights. And then well upgrade it all again.
Lumafield is headquartered in Cambridge MA and has an office in San Francisco CA.
About the role:
Lumafield is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. As a pivotal member of the finance team you will help to drive the success of Lumafields internal and external financial reporting managing the monthly close implementing new systems and processes internal controls and accounting policies.

What youll do:
- You will play a key role in our business transformation efforts as we scale on a highgrowth trajectory and will have the opportunity to work on projects that revamp and modernize the endtoend accounting and financial reporting cycles
- This is a fastpaced and dynamic role and will offer exposure to many different areas of accounting and finance
- Responsible for supporting the acceleration and maturation of our monthlyclose process by streamlining tasks automating reporting and enhancing controls
- You will seek to reinvent and/or optimize our work streams as you strive to gain new efficiencies and challenge the status quo
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce the monthlyclose timeline while enhancing the accuracy of underlying accounting records
- Partner with crossfunctional teams on a regular basis to identify areas for improvement and solve problems
- Assist in the creation of detailed narratives of procedures and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal quality controls
- Lead accounting projects and provide technical accounting support on various business transactions and complex accounting matters
- Assist with the preparation and review of reconciliations of various general ledger accounts
- Work with external auditors and prepare audit workpapers as requested
- Assist in ad hoc analysis and projects as required
- Help prepare quarterly financial statements and provide accounting support on financial reporting projects
About you:
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Degree(s) in Accounting
- 35 years experience in public and/or private accounting
- The ability and desire to work in a fastpaced challenging environment
- The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
- A highly selfdriven sense of motivation
- Experience working with Netsuite or with cost accounting in manufacturing companies is a plus
