About The Role:
Join the City of Charles Sturt and make the coast your office! As a Beach Team Member youll work handson to maintain our beaches using your understanding of coastal conditions to guide your daily activities. Youll be responsible for tasks such as installing and repairing sand drift fencing and carrying out other reactive beach maintenance works all contributing to the preservation of our natural coastal ecosystem.

About You:
The position requires candidates to hold the following:
- MR truck licence and white card
- A ticket in any of the following: Excavator / Backhoe / Skidsteer
- A commitment to a safety first culture

About Our Team:
City Maintenance are equipped to care for open spaces in our beaches reserves and parks ensuring they are maintained and up to standard. This diverse portfolio is passionate and skilled in areas including property management and repair irrigation biodiversity arboriculture trees and sports turf as well as program scheduling and contract support.
The Parks and Biodiversity team is responsible for maintaining local parks streetscapes open space areas biodiversity sites and nominated Council properties. The team provide and maintain innovative accessible and flexible public places and spaces that are fit for purpose for our community.
The Detail:
We currently have one fulltime position available working a standard 9 day fortnight. The Beach Team Member position is classified at ME6 with a starting salary of $74721 per annum Super. The benefits of joining the City of Charles Sturt also include:
