Job Description

Under guidance of the Section Manager of the KIDS Application Development Section this position performs advanced DB architecture work for Child Support Systems. The KIDS DB architect: recommends and maintains data management policy; provides expert technical leadership to the applications development and technical staff; installs and maintains software on multiple mainframe platforms; plans tests installs and updates to software; coordinates software upgrades with system DBAs; and advises application development staff on the use of database software database designs and data models efficient data access and is available for evening/weekend oncall duties. Well qualified candidates will have DBA experience with a large 1000 programs 400table 4DB2/CICS environments or equivalent and distributed systems accessing DB2 Child Support system or equivalent using Platinum ERWin Mainview ChangeMan. IBM Utilities log analyzer tools IBM Data Studio CNTLM or like tools; and significant IT related knowledge.

Must Have:
Management of large projects.
Selected consultant will be required to sign Contract Exhibit B.
Buffer Pool Tuning.
Database Tuning and Maintenance to assure highest level of system availability and performance.
IBM DB2 Utilities or CDB DB2 Utilities.
Implement Database Objects and Files needed by Database Applications.
Provide Multi Environment Database Support.
Database design.
Data Warehouse performance tuning
DB2..
Implement Database Archive and Recovery Strategies.
Logical database design.
Move for DB2
Physical database design.
Stored procedures and triggers.
IBM DB2 Utilities.
DB2 Application DBA for a very large complex Child Support System supporting hundreds of tables in at least 5 environments.
DB2 Application DBA for a very large complex system supporting hundreds of tables in at least 5 environments.
Implement and enforce security requirements.
