Job Description:
Microchips Discrete Products Group (DPG) offers one of the industrys most comprehensive power and RF/microwave discrete semiconductor product portfolios. The DPG encompasses two business units the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF/Microwave Discrete BU. Markets the PDM & RF/MW Discrete BUs address include: alternative energy industrial medical defense commercial aviation communications embedded systems motor control power solutions sensors and security. Microchip DPG has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Senior TechnicianEquipment. The right candidate will repair and maintain electromechanical equipment used in the production semiconductor equipment or any other duties as directed.
- Ability to repair electromechanical equipment or assemblies.
- Ability to perform PM and general maintenance on production equipment.
- Ability to work from schematics mechanical drawings or written instructions.
- Experience in the use of multimeters soldering irons and mechanical tools.
- Ability to read write and communicate in English.
- Ability to use MS Office.
- Ability to interface with parts or service vendors.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Minimum 57 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of production manufacturing equipment.
- Trade school or post high school certificate training in electronics.
- Experience with calibration of equipment vacuum systems and electronics.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Machine shop experience.
