Job Description
The Department of Marketing Management Information Systems MIS and Entrepreneurship at Marshall University is seeking a nontenure track (Term) Assistant Professor or Associate Professor for a ninemonth appointment and threeyear term in Management Information Systems with joint appointment in Entrepreneurship. Rank will be determined upon qualifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels and will oversee the Brad D. Smith Student StartUp Incubator. Courses may be delivered in facetoface online and hybrid formats. The Lewis College of Business accredited by AACSB is one of ten colleges at Marshall University a Carnegie R2 research institution located in Huntington West Virginia. The college is experiencing rapid growth in its undergraduate graduate and doctoral programs and recently received a transformative $25 million gift from alumnus former Intuit chairman and CEO and current Marshall University President Brad D. Smith. Candidates should be willing to contribute to the universitys general education curriculum which emphasizes a common firstyear seminar and core courses designed to enhance students critical thinking skills. Additionally the college supports interdisciplinary programs of study and faculty are encouraged to contribute to these initiatives.
