What You Will Do
The DPHM Military Data & Platforms Engineer will be responsible for the development of our data ingestion / ETL pipelines and our big data processing tool as part of our military data platform. In this role the DPHM Principal Engineer will collaborate with a large crosssection of P&W engineering and sustainment teams as well the engine end customer to identify CBM (ConditionBased Maintenance) capability. This position type is onsite but does not require a security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop distributed big data applications to support a wide variety of flight data analysis needs across a large engineering organization.
- Take requirements from a large user base and translate them into functional software that supports those needs.
- Engage in the development of flight data analytics designed to support fleets of military engine programs.
- This role will give you exposure to a wide variety of engineering challenges. You will be involved in a critical role for Pratt & Whitneys military engine programs.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 8 years of experience in engineering with a bachelors degree and 5 with an advanced degree
- US Person Status required due to government contracts.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Proficient in at least one major coding language (Python Java C etc.
- Strong proficiency in Python and related libraries/frameworks (NumPy Pandas etc.
- Experience developing and optimizing cloudbased applications and services preferably in AWS. (OpenSearch lambda SQS SNS ECS/EKS etc.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience developing frontend applications in React / JavaScript
- Experience working in Agile teams and exposure to Agile software development methods
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes etc.
- Experience with version control software such as Git
- Knowledge of and exposure to aerospace control and diagnostic systems

- Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development including requirements analysis & definition system & software architecture algorithm design and product software design verification & validation. We integrate the control and diagnostic system design across other engine system modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle.
- The Diagnostics Prognostics and Health Management (DPHM) discipline within CDS is responsible for the development and deployment of cuttingedge data acquisition systems diagnostics prognostics and analytics. This includes Usage Based Lifing (UBL) for P&W engines and components and deploying state of the art development tools & methodologies.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
