The after school social worker supports the social emotional behavioral and academic growth of students. They recognize and address any social emotional and behavioral concerns that may get in the way of a students academic progress. This position furthers the mission of toile Academy because it helps ensure that all students have a safe environment to learn during our afterschool programming.
Hours: 10:00 AM 6:00 PM
Responsibilities:
The Stronger Connections After School Social Worker will promote student success provide preventative services and respond to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive developmental school mental health program that seeks to meet the needs of the whole student. The After School Social Worker will seek to develop and facilitate programming that effectively removes barriers to learning and equips students with the necessary tools needed to navigate their educational experience and beyond.
toile Academy Student Support Services exists to prevent respond to and minimize the barriers to learning that students may experience. Reporting to the Director of After School the Stronger Connections After School Social Worker is responsible for developing coordinating and facilitating comprehensive mental health programming for after school. This may include providing direct support to students coordinating resources for families coordinating datadriven interventions and programming and facilitating professional development for staff and parents.
The Stronger Connections After School Social Worker will have responsibilities such as but not limited to the following:
Qualifications: Education and Knowledge
Accomplished professional experience in one or more of the following settings: PK12 schools early childhood centers outofschooltime programs.
