The icing on top of the cake: we offer a competitive and comprehensive benefits package.Are you ready for your career at CI Position Summary and Purpose:The Director of Purchasing is responsible for developing and executing strategic procurement initiatives to optimize cost quality and efficiency across the supply chain.This role leads the purchasing team in sourcing vendor management contract negotiations and procurement planning to ensure seamless operations and alignment with company goals. The Director will collaborate closely with Operations SupplyChain Finance and other key stakeholders to drive datadriven purchasing decisionsthat enhance productivity and profitability. Duties and Responsibilities: - Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Develop and implement purchasingstrategies that align with business objectives ensuring cost savings qualityimprovement and risk mitigation.
- Supplier Management: Identify evaluate and maintain relationships with keysuppliers negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and ensure supplier performance meets company standards.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze procurement data and market trends to identifyopportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements while maintainingquality and service levels.
- Operational Excellence: Lead initiatives to improve purchasing processes standardize procurement policies and enhance purchasing systems to streamline operations and ensure compliance.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations Supply Chain and Finance to forecast demand manage inventory levels and support production planning.
- Team Leadership: Recruit train and mentor a highperforming purchasing team fostering a resultsoriented and datadriven culture.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements company policies and industry best practices related to
procurement and supplier management. - Continuous Improvement: Utilize Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive process improvements in purchasing supplier management and cost control.
Education and Experience: - Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or arelated field. A Masters degree is a plus.
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) Certified Professional in SupplyManagement (CPSM) or similar certification is preferred.
- 7 years of procurement and supply chain experience with at least 3 years in aleadership role.
Skills and Competencies: - Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving cost savings and supplier performance improvements.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Datadriven mindset with proficiency in procurement analytics ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to driveperformance and accountability.
- Excellent communication and relationshipbuilding skills to effectively collaborateacross departments and with external suppliers.
