We are seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Proposal and Contract Specialist to oversee the RFP RFI and MSA processes ensuring we pursue the right opportunities. This role requires strong technical acumen to assess project feasibility before escalating to directors. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing partnerships maintaining supplier databases and evaluating government opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the RFP RFI and MSA process from start to finish.
- Lead go/nogo meetings to assess project viability before director review.
- Screen and evaluate opportunities based on technical requirements.
- Supervise and support team members ensuring alignment with business objectives and company goals.
- Attend prebid meetings and formulate technical questions related to RFP and RFI opportunities while representing the company.
- Submit questions and clarifications to potential clients.
- Maintain and update the companys partner and supplier databases.
- Research screen and review government opportunities to align with business objectives.
- Oversee marketing initiatives through the Marketing Chairensuring brand consistency and alignment with company strategy.
Knowledge and Skill
- A bachelors degree in business supply chain engineering or a related field is preferred or equivalent experience in procurement proposals or business development.
- Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills to determine project feasibility.
- Ability to assess technical requirements and align them with company capabilities.
- Experience managing proposal and bid processes (RFPs RFIs MSAs).
- Experience supervising or leading a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Basic understanding of marketing principles or a willingness to collaborate with marketing professionals to support company branding efforts.
- Experience working with government contracts and procurement is a plus.
- Industry experience particularly in substation transmission and distribution is a plus.
